Introducing Dr. W. Emmett Walsh
Dr. Walsh graduated from St. Thomas College in St. Paul, Minnesota, with degrees in biology, chemistry, and psychology. He then attended and graduated from Creighton University Medical School in Omaha, Nebraska as a physician.
Following an internship at Ancker Hospital in St. Paul, he then served two years in the Air Force at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska and founded the base’s allergy clinic. Released from the air force with an honorable discharge, he attended and graduated from a fellowship in allergy at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Passing the tests of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, he received certification as a specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of allergic diseases. He is also a fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.
Dr. Walsh practiced as a consultant allergist with a particular interest in food sensitivity and allergic headaches. Before retirement, he joined HealthEast Care System and founded its allergy clinic.
